GUIDE: Viewing the HTTPS certificate

HyperText Transfer Protcol Secure, HTTPS, keeps data encrypted over the internet, helping to keep personal data and sensitive data away from prying eyes and unwanted inter-webs robots.

Open the certificate details pane:

Step 1: Click the icon by the URL bar View site information

Step 2: In Edge browser, left click the "Connection is secure" button

Step 3: Click to open the https certificate panel.

Step 4 (Optional): Switch to details tab to view the browser interpretation of the certificate.

Note: The CN value originates from the certificate field labeled "Subject".
